Holy Trinity Church, Rothwell, in the West Riding of Yorkshire,
with views of the graveyard. Despite the voluntary cleaning up of
the graveyard by a group of 'friends of the churchyard', their best efforts
seem destined to be defeated by nature, vandals and a shamefully disinterested
church. Nevertheless, records have been made of the inscriptions
on the Westmoreland graves revealed in the clean up, and a photographic
record compiled. The gravestones, of course, do not actually belong
to the church but to the families of the deceased. |
